A fantastic single malt. Our Malt Master handpicks some of the world’s oldest casks, blending them with 40-year-old vattings to create an unrivaled whisky. A 40 year old with infinite depth and layer upon layer of scent and flavor, unrivaled by other rare whiskies of this age.
This ongoing procedure is referred to as “remnant vatting,” and it uses whiskies that are at least 40 years old. We are the only single malt Scotch whisky in the world that uses vatting leftovers.
As a result of its distinctively rich and deep flavor, Whisky Magazine named it the “Best of the Best” single malt in 2003, and it earned the Trophy at both the ISC and the IWSC in 2008. (the first time any whisky has won both in the same year)
